Clean the floor by brushing and using a vacuum to make sure there is NO dust on the floor.

Use the

Seal-Krete 64-oz. Oil Stain Remover

Seal-Krete 64 oz. Clean N-Etch Etching Solution

Make sure there is no oil stains or blemishes in the concrete floor, as when you apply the first base coat it could pit or become lumpy. Once you feel the floor is prepared now we can start to paint.

1: First we would start by using a paint brush to paint all around the edges creating sharp lines with walls and kick boards.

2: Once you have completed this do not worry if your paint is starting to dry, when you paint the rest of the floor it will still match.

We have found that if you paint it on thick with the roller brush the paint levels out and fills any small cracks in the concrete.

Helpful Tip No 1:  Warning Make sure you start in a corner furthest away from the door and work back

towards the door way, so you can get out!

Leave this first coat to dry, and you can paint again in a couple of hours.  Try not to use shoes when painting again as you could leave dusty foot prints in the paint job.

Continue this process until you have used at least 90% of your paint.

Helpful tip No 2:    Always keep a little back for touch ups later.

Now leave your floor to totally dry for 24/48 hrs.

The next process is adding the topcoat and the Glomania Glow in the Dark Glow24tm Flake.

Make sure your top coat paint is well mixed before opening.

Pour some into your paint tray and get ready to paint and flake.

Starting again at the farthest point of the room, start to roll out the top coat. It does not matter that the topcoat leaves a white residue on the surface of the floor, it will dry clear. Once you have painted at least a 5 square foot area and while the topcoat is still wet you can apply the flake, open the bag of your chosen color and grabbing a small fist full sprinkle it all over the wet topcoat area.

It is best to throw the flake into the air over the wet area, this will help insure that the flake does not clump in areas making the finished product look blotchy.

Helpful Hint 3: It is best to add a small amount first as you can always add more later. It is virtually impossible to remove some flake if you put down too much.

Complete the whole floor using the same process.

For our floor we have used a combination of our Glow in the Dark Glow24tm Flake and also our Neon Fluorescent Pink Flake to spice our floor up a little.

The Glow in the Dark Glow24tm Flake will become slightly translucent when wet and may blend into your base coat quite nicely.

Once you feel you have enough Glomania Glow in the Dark Glow24tm Flake down, leave the top coat to completely dry, this takes about 5+ hours to do.

Once the floor is completely dry we can finish off our Glow in the dark Floor Project.

You may notice that some of the flakes have landed on their sides and can feel sharp underfoot, we would suggest that you go over your new floor with a cleaning brush pad just to cut the burs of the flake.

Vacuum up if you want or leave the leftover flake to be painted over.

You can finish off by top coating 2 more times over the whole floor. The top coat is a lot more viscous so it goes a lot further.

Leave again a good 24hrs before you start placing heavy furniture, cars etc over your new Glomania Glow in the Dark Glow24tm Flaked floor.
